At its core, Found Personne, is an exploration of human nature. The work directs the viewers gaze toward the realm of the often, overlooked or forgotten found object. It encourages the viewer to delve into the stories and rich histories of these items whilst also inviting them to develop fictional narratives of their own. The title is inspired by the French word Personne, which translates to both person and nobody. The work draws upon themes of identity, privacy, first impressions and narrative, an important motif that flows through most of Elordi’s work to date.
